Swinging for Tomorrow - A Boy & A Bat
The story revolves around Qin Yujie, a young baseball player and an orphan, training with the “Little Dragons Baseball Team at the Lindai Central Primary School, China. He was brought to the school in Xujiadai Village of Zhejiang Province, by head coach Li Wei from the Ulanqab Children's Welfare Institute in Inner Mongolia.
The Xujiadai Village, also known as the "the First Baseball Village in China." and the school has been training rigorously and organizes a residential closed training program every year， during the July summer vacation. Their goal is to prepare for the National Youth Baseball Championship, scheduled to take place in the village in August. As the defending champions of the Under-10 category, this year's new team will face fresh challenges.
Qin Yujie, who came to Lindai Central Primary School in 2020 has a chance to build his career in baseball if he continues to excel. If he stops playing, he will have to return to the welfare institute. Therefore, the August competition is crucial for Qin Yujie, as his performance will determine whether he can continue to stay on the team.
